When we celebrate Easter, we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Yet, who is this Christ who rose from the dead? John returns to one of his tests regarding Christian identity. It is the third test, the doctrinal test. Do we believe Jesus is fully God and fully man? The world does not listen to who we say Jesus is, but only those who are born of God. Whoever does not listen to Christians is not listening to God. It is the way we distinguish the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error. Easter is not just about celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ but sharing the Good News of who Jesus is.
