What is the service like?

Each Sunday we desire to come into the Lord’s presence with reverence, rejoicing, and remembrance of who our God is, and the marvelous works He has done. We believe the preaching, teaching, and expounding of God’s Word is central to the worship service. Both Old and New Testament passages are read that support the sermon. Some of the songs, as well, will support the sermon text or topic. We have a time of corporate and individual confession, assurance of pardon, and singing of the Doxology, as the opportunity to provide an offering is given. Our music is a mix of contemporary praise, traditional and contemporary gospel, traditional and retuned hymns, and scripture songs.

What do people wear?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, we accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up unless that is how you feel most comfortable worshiping. Summer months are generally more casual.

What about my children?

Worship is at the heart of our faith and Christian life, and at New City, families are welcomed to worship together! A well-staffed nursery is provided for children ages birth to three while children up to 2nd grade remain in the service until the offering time at which point they are dismissed for Children's Church. What about those with disabilities?

We believe that our friends with disabilities and their families are indispensable to the Body of Christ. To the best of our ability and resources, we will welcome and assist each person affected by disabilities, and we will strive to make the church and its ministries available and accessible to all people.

Our sanctuary is accessible for those with disabilities. We have reserved parking spaces near the front entrance, and handicap accessible doors at the side entrance. There is space in the middle of sanctuary for wheelchairs.

Need a Map....parking can be tricky.
