Sermon Title: “Hope in a Hostile World Because of Christ” (Jim Womer)
Sermon Text: 1 Peter 3:13-22
Summary:
Suffering and Blessing are two words that seem to be opposite. However, 1 Peter 3:14 says that we will be blessed if we suffer for righteousness’s sake. When we suffer, we do not need to be afraid. Instead, we should be hopeful. In fact, we should share this hope with those around us, even those who may be the cause our suffering. The Christian can have hope because of Christ’s victory over sin and death. We can trust God to deliver us through our suffering because the resurrected Christ sits at the right hand of God and all of creation is subject to him.
