NCF Sunday Worship Livestream - April 16, 2023

There is no greater prayer in the Christian church than The Lord’s Prayer. It, therefore, must not be prayed mindlessly. Addressing God as our Father is revolutionary. Though calling God “Father” is present in the OT it appears only 14 times. When it is used in the OT it is impersonal referring to God as the Father of the nation, not the individual. What are we saying when we address God this way? What are we saying about Him and about us and our relationship to Him? Can every person on the planet address God as “Father?” The more we understand the richness of addressing our God in this way when we pray, the more we will celebrate our special relationship with Him.
