James tells us we do not have because we do not ask (James 4:2). So all we have to do is name it and claim it? Not quite! Jesus says we must pray with persistence and confidence. If we who are evil know how to give good things to our children, how much more will our perfect heavenly Father give good things to us His children. Our Father answers every one of our prayers with either a “Yes,” “No,” or “Wait.” Have you ever thanked God for not answering one of your prayers? What we seek when we ask of our Father is for His will to be done in our lives. We want Him to give us what will please and glorify Him. Is all that in our prayer requests?
