Sermon Text: Joshua 14:6-15

Sermon Title: “The Example of Caleb”   (Pastor Bob) 

Summary: 

Often those who follow great men and women are overlooked and fail to be recognized for their greatness. Caleb was such a man. He served the Lord by serving Moses, the great mediator God used to give His people the Law. Caleb was one of the faithful spies along with Joshua who brought back a positive report that the people of Israel could possess the land of Canaan. Usually, great men and women are not complicated. Life is complicated, offering us many paths to follow, but great men and women see the best path and follow it consistently and wholeheartedly. Caleb was such a man. He fixed his eyes on God as did all the great men and women listed in Hebrews 11 trusting in the promised Messiah Jesus Christ.
