1 Corinthians 12:12-13 ... "For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit."
We are overjoyed that you are considering membership at New City Fellowship (NCF)! We are a cross-cultural church with the desire to welcome all believers who are genuinely seeking to be a reconciling force for Jesus. We encourage all of our local and regular attendees to eventually seek stable Christian fellowship at NCF through membership.
Below is a quick guide on how to join NCF.
1. First, you will need to attend an Inquirers' Class. Inquirers' Classes are scheduled for early Spring and early Fall. These classes cover the specific vision and history of NCF, the basics of Christian faith and expectations for members. This class is intended for high school age and up. The manual for this course can be downloaded below.
2. Next, if you decide to proceed, you will need to submit an application for membership.
3. Following receipt of your application, you will meet with the church session (our Elders) and discuss your profession of faith and Christian experience. Belief in the specifics of Presbyterianism is not required for membership but only required to become a church officer (Elder or Deacon). Further info on PCA church membership can be found in BCO Chapter 6.

4. Last, if the Church Session recommends you for membership, you will be asked to affirm the following questions before the congregation:
- Do you acknowledge yourselves to be sinners in the sight of God, justly deserving His displeasure, and without hope save in His sovereign mercy?
- Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and Savior of sinners, and do you receive and rest upon Him alone for salvation as He is offered in the Gospel?
- Do you now resolve and promise, in humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you will endeavor to live as becomes the followers of Christ?
- Do you promise to support the church in its worship and work to the best of your ability?
- Do you submit yourselves to the government and discipline of the church, and promise to study its purity and peace?
