Sermon Text: Luke 18:1-17

Summary:

In Psalm 1, the psalmist gives insight into the life of the person blessed by God. In our passage this morning, Jesus gives insight into the lives of those He calls His elect. In these two parables and this one very familiar story from the Gospels, the elect are revealed by their response to the unconditional love of the Father shown through Jesus.

“Do not remember against us our former iniquities; let your compassion come speedily to meet us, for we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake!”
