Pastor Jim Womer was born and raised in Woodbridge, VA. He became a Christian at a young age. While attending Mary Washington College, he was invited by a friend to visit New City Fellowship and worshipped here throughout his college days. After graduating, Jim moved to Alexandria, where he worked as an accountant and in various other financial roles supporting the federal government. He earned his MBA from George Washington University and became a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia. During this season, the Lord grew in him a desire to study and teach His Word. Jim completed a Certificate of Biblical Studies through a Bible institute connected to his church. After this, God led him to continue his theological training at Reformed Theological Seminary. While pursuing his Master of Biblical Studies, Jim served full-time on staff at his local church and also worked with a mission board supporting churches and pastors in hard-to-reach areas of Asia. Jim joined the staff of New City Fellowship in October 2023 as the Director of Discipleship and Community and was ordained as Associate Pastor in March 2026.

Jim is the thankful husband of Sarah and father to 3 sons. He roots for DC sports teams, but especially enjoys watching his sons play. He enjoys hiking and being outside with his family.
