NCF's "The Sunday Sermon" - October 8, 2023

Again, God our King pleads with Judah and Jerusalem to repent. He asks them to wash themselves by ceasing to do evil. He asks them to seek justice and correct oppression. If they are obedient, they will eat the good of the land. However, if they refuse and rebel, they will eat the sword. He asks them to come so they might reason together. Who else can forgive sins that are like scarlet to be as white as snow? God must do it and has done it through Jesus Christ. Isaiah tells us how God will do it through sending His Suffering Servant (Isa. 53). What other God would be so gracious?
