NCF's "The Sunday Sermon" - October 22, 2023

Peter reminds us that God has done great things for his elect. Because of his mercy, God has saved us and promised us an inheritance that is perfect and imperishable. It is because of God and what he has done for us that we can have joy in our trials and suffering. Peter gives us a theology for suffering that is focused on God’s goodness and not our circumstances. Heaven is home for God’s people, but while we sojourn here on earth we can rejoice in our trials because of what God has done for us.
